How Justísimo works

About Justísimo
What is Justísimo?
A set of free tools for tenants in Spain: it checks a rental listing for scam signs, reviews your contract before you sign. It works in Spanish and English.
Why did you build it?
It is made by the team behind Frankly, which analyses Madrid housing prices every day. Working with thousands of listings, we saw how easy it is to fall for a rental scam, and how hard it is to know whether a clause or a deposit deduction is legal without paying a lawyer. Justísimo is what we would have wanted: free, instant, with the article of the law in view and in your language.
Is it free? How do you pay for it?
Today everything is free: the whole analysis, nothing locked. We do not sell your data. If we ever recommend a lawyer or an insurer and earn something from it, we will say so next to the recommendation.
Who is behind it?
Justísimo is run by Frankly Data Lab, S.L., a company in Madrid. The company details are in the legal notice.
How it works
How does the listing check work?
You paste the listing link and we look at what it asks of you, whether the rent fits the area, whether the photos appear in other listings, and who placed it and since when. The result says whether a scam is unlikely, likely or impossible to tell, and explains why. It cannot confirm that a listing is real.
How does the contract review work?
You upload the PDF or photos of each page. We compare it with fixed rules written from Spanish tenancy law, including the 8 October 2026 reform, and each clause worth your attention appears with your contract's own words, a plain explanation, the article of the law and what you can do. No language model reads your contract.
Do you use AI?
Not where it matters: the contract review and the deposit letters come from fixed rules and templates, so every sentence can be checked. The listing check uses a language model only to spot signs in the listing text (with personal details masked first), and the verdict is computed in code.
Is this legal advice?
No. It is automated general information and it can make mistakes. Before you sign or make a claim, check anything important with a lawyer. If the landlord opposes returning more than €2,000, you will need one for the court case.
Does it work everywhere in Spain?
We apply the national tenancy law, which covers all of Spain. Some regions add their own rules (for example on lodging the deposit, or rent-control areas); where we know them we say so, and in Madrid we give you the specific steps.
Your data
What do you do with my data?
As little as possible. Your contract is read in memory and deleted when the review is done; only an anonymous count of the rules applied remains. For a listing we keep an identifier and the result, not its text. Data is processed in the European Union.
Do I need an account?
Checking listings and reviewing contracts needs a free account, to stop automated abuse. We keep your email, not the listings you check.
